The Project Manager will add competence to the current organisation. In addition to the usual capabilities, the Project Manager will be expected to be able to bridge the cultural gap with all the Dutch stakeholders involved in the projects. On the one hand, they will need to be able to understand Dutch, PPPs and construction business environments. On the other, they will need to be able to understand the Company’s needs and requirements and have the flexibility to combine the former with the latter successfully”.

ERVARING EN OPLEIDING

  • Relevant technical degree, preferably in civil engineering.
  • A financial qualification or knowledge in finance, investment management or an MBA preferred.
  • 3 – 8 years of professional experience at a construction or engineering company occupying positions in construction management and/or design/engineering consultancy on major public projects, preferably relating to road transportation.
  • Previous experience with a public authority preferred.
  • Knowledge or involvement in PPP/DBFM projects and competitive dialogue procurement processes preferred.
  • Fluent Dutch and English. In addition, a working knowledge of Spanish would be hugely advantageous.
  • Good personal presence and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical mind with problem solving capabilities.
  • Self-sufficient, organized and willing to assume responsibility.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to different work environments.
  • Willingness to travel, as required.

INHOUD POSITIE

It is expected that the successful candidate will initially be based in the Amsterdam area, forming part of the project bid team. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing the bid and negotiating with the client. He/she will lead the technical working team of the concessionaire and any other activity that is required on behalf of the Consortium or the Company.

In future, the Project Manger can expect to be promoted to the position of Bid Director or SPV Manager on future tenders. If the bid is successful, the Project Manager can also look forward to becoming part of the management team and supporting the Business Development department of the Concessions division in its other activities.
