'Early in 2007, I approached Career Openers to help me make the next step in my career. Thanks to the unique approach of Career Openers (in which the person is central) combined with the good contacts in the industry, I found a position with Boston Consulting Group. An excellent move!'

The Concept

Career Openers holds a unique position in the labour market:

  • We reverse the labour mediation process: your profile and career wishes are the focal point, not the job.
  • We add value to the mediation process because we are your external career coach.
  • We introduce you to employers of your choice.
  • Except for specific vacancies, we can also bring you into contact with attractive employers for an exploratory meeting: talentpool management.
  • We aim for the very best: academically trained managers with around 3 to 10 years of work experience.

Our approach is first of all geared to charting where you stand in your development, together with you. In this analysis phase we do not yet talk about companies or vacancies. The starting point is your unique profile.

After a number of discussions on career supervision, you determine to which employers you would like to be introduced. Career Openers will then determine whether there are interesting options at those companies that fit in with your wishes and profile.

Career Openers maintains close ties with a great many attractive employers. These employers know that we only mediate for the top in the labour market. And they also know that due to our expertise we can make a good estimate as to whether talent and a given employer are suited for each other.

Moreover, Career Openers has developed a new concept with a select number of top employers: talentpool management. Top candidates can become familiar with companies, without there being a formal application procedure. Talentpool management focuses specifically on candidates that are not seeking a new employer in the short term, but are interested in planting ‘seeds' for the future. This orientation consists of an informal introductory discussion between you and the employer's line or HR manager.

If you decide to take an external career step, the contact will have been quickly made and an accelerated procedure can follow. Organisations may also approach you if they have a vacant position that would be of particular interest to someone with your specific profile.
