In fact, I had been in contact with Career Openers for nearly 3 years before they helped me realise my move from Procter & Gamble to Albert Heijn. That not only illustrates the mutual long-term approach, it also leads to a win-win situation: a better job at a better time for a better result. I currently have final responsibility for marketing & communications at Albert Heijn.'

Our Approach

The Career Openers career review procedure is as follows:

  • If you are interested, send us your CV with a brief explanation. We will review it within a week against our selection requirements.
  • If you meet our selection requirements, we will make an appointment for a telephone conversation, during which we can both explore whether continuation of the procedure is worthwile.
  • If we are both enthusiastic after this conversation, we will invite you to a first interview. During this interview we will determine whether you fit our profile.
  • If so and depending on your profile, we will ask you to take a test that you can do at home from behind your computer. The result will also help us to give you the best advice for your career.
  • During the second interview we will discuss the first interview and the test results: the feedback interview. Subsequently, we will discuss those organisations that are of interest in light of your profile and wishes.
  • Depending on your specific needs, we will then introduce you to the employer(s) of your choice. This can be a concrete interview or an exploratory meeting in the context of talentpool management.
  • Regardless of the steps which we take together after completion of the procedure, our goal is to be and continue to be your external career coach.

In addition to actual introductions at a number of interesting employers, the process also yields insight into the aspects you can still develop in this phase of your career. These insights can then help you make more informed choices as to your own career path. You will be supervised by the same dedicated Career Openers consultant during the entire procedure.
